History - In the 1998–99 season, AC Milan, under new manager Alberto Zaccheroni, made a triumphant return to form. Zaccheroni introduced an innovative 3–4–3 formation, with striker Oliver Bierhoff excelling, scoring 20 league goals. Milan's stellar second half saw them vie for the Serie A title, eventually securing their 16th scudetto after a series of seven consecutive wins.
