History - This is a scarce home shirt that was worn over two seasons spanning the turn of the decade. During the '89-90 campaign, the Bhoys had a strong start but a disappointing second half with only two victories in the New Year, leading to a fifth-place finish. However, in the following year, Billy McNeill's team performed better and secured third place. They managed to qualify for the UEFA Cup based on goal difference, with Tommy Coyne, a Glaswegian goalscorer, scoring 19 goals in all competitions.
